This Thursday, February 16th kicks off a public lecture series on “Critical Issues in Sustainability”. The lecture series is being organized by the Sustainable Communities Initiative and Rhode Island College, and will delve into some of the biggest challenges facing the sustainability movement today. Each lecture will be held from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Clarke Science Building (Room 128) on the RIC campus in Providence. Each lecture is free to attend and is open to the public.

February 16th also marks the launch of the Sustainable Communities Initiative and will be the site of February’s Providence Green Drinks, a social gathering held each month bringing together people from all walks of life who share an interest in sustainability.
